OTTAWA, ON, Sept. 7, 2021 /CNW/ - On September 8, 2021, voters in Ottawa Centre will hear directly from candidates in Canada's 44th federal election about their visions for the environment. The debate is part of GreenPAC's nation-wide initiative, 100 Debates on the Environment happening this week in partnership with Canadian organizations and individuals across the country. The Ottawa Centre debate will take place virtually on Zoom.
The 2021 Ottawa Centre debate is hosted by Evidence for Democracy, Canada's voice for promoting the transparent use of evidence in government decision-making. This debate aims to demonstrate to local candidates that the environment is a political priority and a top issue for voters.
The 2021 federal candidates for Ottawa Centre attending the debate are:
- Alex McDonald (Communist Party)
- Angela Keller-Herzog (Green Party)
- Angella MacEwen (NDP)
- Yasir Naqvi (Liberal Party)
