MEDIA ADVISORY: Facebook and Regina Chamber of Commerce to host free workshop for Regina businesses
Part of a special privacy series with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
REGINA, Jan. 11, 2017 /CNW/ - On Monday, January 16, Facebook's Boost Your Business will take place in Regina, Saskatchewan, a session dedicated to teaching small business owners how to optimize their presence on the world's largest social network. The event will be co-hosted by the Regina Chamber of Commerce, with special guests Ralph Goodale, MP for Regina-Wascana, and Brent Homan, Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
The Boost Your Business workshop will include a training session led by a Facebook small business expert on the latest best practices and strategies for success. Attendees will learn how to use Facebook and Instagram to grow their business and connect with current and potential customers.
As a special segment of the program, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from, and speak directly to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. This segment is a unique opportunity for business owners to better understand how to implement effective privacy and security measures for their small business.
A question and answer session will follow featuring a panel of local small business owners, who will share their Facebook tips, tricks and suggestions. Hillberg and Berk, Schoolhaus Culinary Arts and Leopold's Tavern have been selected to join the panel as best-in-class examples of businesses using Facebook.
