MONTREAL, Sept. 19, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - As negotiations intensify with the Ministère de la Famille and the Conseil du Trésor, the president of the Fédération des intervenantes en petite enfance du Québec (FIPEQ-CSQ), Valérie Grenon, will hold a press conference on negotiations in the regulated and subsidized family environment on Sunday, September 20, at 10 a.m. If no agreement is reached this weekend, the FIPEQ-CSQ will call an indefinite general strike for its 10,000 family home care providers on Monday, September 21 at midnight.
It should be noted that the FIPEQ-CSQ had begun rotating strikes in all regions of Quebec on September 1. On Friday, September 18, the home care providers in the Montérégie and Laurentides regions are on strike simultaneously.
