Energotest Trials and Electric, Propane and Natural Gas Vehicles on Display
POINTE-CLAIRE, QC, May 29, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - FPInnovations' Performance Innovation Transport (PIT) group invites the media in marking its 5th anniversary with a series of festivities on June 5 to celebrate five years of providing customized technological solutions and assistance to fleet managers in improving operational safety while reducing their operational cost and environmental impact.
"Starting with six members five years ago, PIT has grown to 26 transport fleet members, 16 municipalities and four federal and provincial government agencies today, and has quickly established a first class reputation in green product trials and testing for the transport industry," says Pierre Lapointe, FPInnovations President and Chief Executive Officer. "The PIT group is becoming the center piece of a unique intelligent transportation hub and has become indispensable in Canada's transportation industry."
A series of activities has been planned to commemorate the 5th anniversary celebration at the Transport Canada test track operated by PMG Technologies in Blainville, QC. Among them are the Energotest trials, which has become the premier vehicle testing event to attend for the trucking industry and its manufacturers. Energotest has become the benchmark in Canada and the US in providing precise, independent, indisputable data on the economic and environmental impacts of innovative technologies. FPInnovations' PIT group is the organization chosen by Environment Canada to conduct testing for environmental technology verifications of trucking technologies.
In addition, guests will be able to test electric, propane and natural gas vehicles at the event. There will also be booths and kiosks featuring green products. Finally, PIT will present new and innovative trucks, and recent test results will also be presented to the media and the public for the first time.
Members of the press will have the opportunity to interview the host and main sponsor at the event. When you arrive, sign into the media registration and we will be happy to further assist you. RSVP to [email protected] by May 31 to attend.
