Media Advisory - Government of Canada to launch new charter and pilot program to promote equity, diversity and inclusion in academia

WATERLOO, ON, May 8, 2019 /CNW/ - The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, will launch a new charter of guiding principles as part of a pilot program to promote equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) across all disciplines and fields in the post-secondary community.

The Minister will also announce funding under the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Institutional Capacity-Building Grant program to help academic institutions identify and implement measures to advance EDI.
