Media Advisory: Holiday tree lighting ceremony at Downtown Yonge's annual ILLUMINITE event
TORONTO, Nov. 6, 2012 /CNW/ - The holiday season in Downtown Yonge officially kicks off with the lighting of the neighbourhood's holiday décor this Saturday, November 10. Illuminite, at Yonge-Dundas Square, not only celebrates the lighting of Downtown Yonge's 40-foot holiday tree boasting 52,000 LED lights, but other breathtaking installations throughout the area as well.
The tree lighting ceremony opens with a live music and dance performance by show choir, SPLASH, from the Etobicoke School of the Arts and features a stunning fire and pyrotechnics show by the renowned acrobat troupe, Circus Orange
Illuminite takes place from 6 to 7 p.m. and is free to attend.
