"Indigenous Peoples' Money and Youth" Builds on Award Winning "Money and Youth" Resource

WINNIPEG, MB, Dec. 6, 2024 /CNW/ - The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE) and IG Wealth Management (IG) will officially introduce Indigenous Peoples' Money and Youth, a free resource to help build financial empowerment among Indigenous youth across Canada.

The announcement will be made on Tuesday, December 10 at 9:00 a.m. CT at IG Wealth Management headquarters in Winnipeg.

IG employees and members of the community will join representatives from Indigenous organizations, CFEE and IG.

The new resource is designed to help Indigenous youth address the financial challenges, decisions, and opportunities they encounter in their lives. It's based on and adapted from CFEE and IG's award-winning Money and Youth guide, which has become the go-to resource for youth financial literacy programs across the country and is part of the high school curriculum in four provinces. An Indigenous team has worked to modify the original publication to align with the interests, needs, images, and cultural factors relevant to Indigenous youth.
