OTTAWA, ON, Feb. 27, 2025 /CNW/ - Judges from the Supreme Court of Canada will visit Moncton, N.B., on March 10 and 11, 2025 as part of the Court's 150th anniversary commemorations.
Chief Justice Richard Wagner, Justice Suzanne Côté and Justice Sheilah L. Martin will take part in various events involving members of the public, high school and university students, the local legal and judicial communities, and the media.

Monday March 10
8:15 – Media Availability (open to media – preregistration is required)
Delta Beauséjour Hotel, Shediac A Room, 750 Main St, Moncton, N.B.
Participation is in person or via Zoom (hybrid format)
Chief Justice Richard Wagner will make brief remarks and answer questions from journalists. The Chief Justice will be joined by Supreme Court Justices Suzanne Côté and Sheilah L. Martin as well as the Chief Justice of New Brunswick, JC Marc Richard. For media registration, please email [email protected]. Media attending virtually will be provided with a link to participate.
Morning – Visit with law students from local universities (closed to media)
Judges will meet with students at the Faculty of Law at the Université de Moncton. Students from the University of New Brunswick (UNB) Faculty of Law will also take part. Judges will also meet with faculty members from both universities.
Afternoon – Visit to Moncton City Hall (closed to media)
Moncton City Hall, 655 Main St, Moncton, N.B.
Judges will travel to Moncton City Hall to meet with the mayors of Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview and other guests.
Tuesday March 11
Morning – Visit with local secondary school students (closed to media)
Justices will interact with local secondary school students and answer their questions on our judicial system.
3 p.m. – Public event: "Beyond the bench: a dialogue with Judges of the Supreme Court of Canada" (open to media – preregistration required)
Capitol Theatre, 811 Main St, Moncton, N.B.
Chief Justice Wagner and Justices Suzanne Côté and Sheilah L. Martin will answer questions from the public on a wide range of topics during this town-hall style event. For media registration, please email [email protected].
Evening – Event with the legal community (closed to media)
