Why: With the expected shutdown of the National Research Universal (NRU) reactor in March 2018, Nordion and Bruce Power will make an announcement about a new Canadian supply of High Specific Activity ("HSA") Cobalt-60. Medical-grade Cobalt is used worldwide for cancer treatment and as an alternative to traditional brain surgery and whole brain radiation therapy for the treatment of complex, difficult brain conditions.
