Media Advisory: Keep safe while Toronto Hydro works hard to restore power
TORONTO, Dec. 24, 2013 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited (Toronto Hydro) kindly requests pedestrians from engaging with Toronto Hydro crews when they are working to restore power in neighborhoods. Please keep a safe distance from the work area. Tree limbs and debris are falling as the crews work, and public safety is a concern.
Our staff is focussed on restoring power as quickly and safely as possible. Crews will be working 24/7 until all power is restored.
Toronto Hydro has restored 210,000 customers. It is reporting that approximately 90,000 customers are without power, which is down from the 300,000 impacted during the height of the storm.
