Media Advisory - Law Society to host Welcome to the Professions Celebration - recognizing our newest licensees Français
TORONTO, Dec. 7, 2020 /CNW/ - The Law Society of Ontario will be holding virtual Welcome to the Professions Celebrations on December 9 and 10, at 5:30 p.m. The program will be the same on both days.
This event will congratulate and celebrate the accomplishments of recently licensed lawyers and paralegals. Families, friends, colleagues, stakeholders and the media are invited to attend.
The program will be approximately 45-minutes long and will include:
- An Indigenous ceremony by Elder Myeengun Henry of the Chippewa of the Thames First Nation
- Remarks by Law Society Treasurer Teresa Donnelly
- Remarks by the Honourable George Strathy, Chief Justice of Ontario
- Remarks by the Honourable Paul Rouleau, Justice of the Court of Appeal for Ontario
