Media Advisory: Live Security Exercise at the Port of Toronto
TORONTO, May 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Toronto Port Authority (TPA) will hold a live security exercise on May 2, 2013 from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The exercise will take place at International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) facilities in the Port of Toronto.
The live security exercise, which takes place every three years, is required by Transport Canada and will not have a direct impact on TPA operations. Both the Port of Toronto and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport will be part of the exercise.
What to expect:
- City of Toronto ferry will be in the Eastern Gap near the International Marine Passenger Terminal
- Emergency Services (Toronto Fire, Toronto Emergency Medical Service and the Toronto Police Marine Unit) will be in the Eastern Gap near the International Marine Passenger Terminal
- Additional staff activity at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport
Media interested in attending should arrive at the International Marine Passenger Terminal (IMPT) at 9:00 a.m with their credentials. The IMPT is located at 8 Unwin Avenue.
