MARKHAM, ON, May 30, 2024 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, June 5, Hyundai Canada and Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) Foundation will announce a six-figure donation, kicking off a fundraising initiative to support the construction of a new child and adolescent mental health inpatient unit at Oak Valley Health's Markham Stouffville Hospital. Members of the media are invited to attend to learn more about this new facility and how it will serve the community, in the spirit of advocating for mental health support for youth.
This unit will fill a critical gap in child and youth mental health support, as the Eastern York Region North Durham Ontario Health Team currently does not have any inpatient care services for children and adolescents.
