Media Advisory - Minister Mendicino celebrates National Flag of Canada Day and the 10th anniversary of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics by delivering the Oath of Citizenship Français
VANCOUVER, Feb. 12, 2020 /CNW/ - The Honourable Marco E. L. Mendicino, P.C., M.P., Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship and the Canadian Club of Vancouver, will host a special citizenship ceremony to welcome 50 new citizens. The ceremony will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and occurs during Flag Week 2020.
On February 15, 1965, Canada's national flag was raised for the first time. In the fifty-five years since that day, millions of Canadians have taken enormous pride in everything the flag represents. Worldwide, the red maple leaf remains a powerful symbol of equality, diversity and inclusion.
