SUDBURY, ON, May 10, 2019 /CNW/ - The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, will announce the first recipients of the New Frontiers in Research Fund. The fund helps researchers pursue fast-breaking, high-risk and interdisciplinary research, leading to discoveries that will help change the world and better the lives of Canadians.
The Minister will be joined by members of the Canada Research Coordinating Committee(CRCC), parliamentarians, as well as Canadian and international stakeholders.
After the announcement, the Minister will host a fireside chat with Tammy Eger, Professor of Human Kinetics and Research Chair in Occupational Health and Safety with the Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health at Laurentian University, and a Homeward Bound participant.
