Media Advisory - Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence to attend Invictus Games 2025 in Vancouver and Whistler Français
VANCOUVER, BC, Feb. 6, 2025 /CNW/ - The Honourable Darren Fisher, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, will participate in a number of events, meetings and activities during the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, which runs from February 8 to 16, 2025.
Throughout the week, Minister Fisher will meet with Veterans, stakeholders and partner organizations to recognize both modern and underrepresented Veterans, promote Veteran employment, transition services and more. He will also make a series of announcements aimed at honouring and supporting Veterans.
A delegation of Canadian Indigenous Veterans will join the Minister for many of his engagements throughout the week. The delegation will engage in cultural exchanges and dialogue, the Four Host First Nations, youth and Indigenous Veterans from other participating nations.
