Minister Guilbeault and astronaut David Saint-Jacques will celebrate National Flag of Canada Day with an interactive discussion with young people on the theme "Travel the world and beyond with our flag"
MONTRÉAL, Feb. 13, 2020 /CNW/ - The Honorable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Heritage, will take part in an interactive discussion with young people from École secondaire Louis-Joseph Papineau in Papineauville on Friday.
Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about the Canadian flag, what it represents at home and abroad, and why we celebrate this symbol. Canadian Space Agency astronaut David Saint-Jacques will join the conversation virtually, live from Houston, Texas.
As part of this discussion, students will be able to see a Canadian flag that spent 10 years on the International Space Station and was brought back to Earth during David Saint-Jacques' mission last year.
