The Government of Canada will hold a reception following the formal apology for the internment of Italian Canadians during the Second World War
OTTAWA, ON, May 26, 2021 /CNW/ - The Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Heritage, and the Honourable Bardish Chagger, Minister of Diversity and Inclusion and Youth, invite Canadians to a virtual reception following the formal apology from the Government of Canada for the internment of Italian Canadians during the Second World War on Thursday.
The Honourable David Lametti, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada; the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Labour; and the Honourable Marco Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, will provide remarks during the reception.
