Hundreds of exciting jobs to be filled in the transport and logistics industry
MONTREAL, Oct. 28, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - The Logistics and Transportation Metropolitan Cluster of Montreal, CargoM, invites you to the one and only career event in transportation and logistics, Tuesday, November 3 from 9 AM to 5 PM. Despite the current COVID-19 pandemic, CargoM still sees fit to offer its members and partners the opportunity to promote the numerous career and training prospects in our sector, which is essential and experiencing a severe labour shortage, to job seekers and the general public.
Ms. Sylvie Vachon, Chair of the Board of Directors of CargoM, and Mr. Mathieu Charbonneau, Executive Director, along with Mr. Jean Boulet, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Solidarity, Mr. Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of Economy and Innovation, and Ms. Chantal Rouleau, Minister for Transport and Minister Responsible for the Metropolis and the Montreal Region, will give the virtual kick-off to the Career Day. Many members of the transportation and logistics industry are also set to attend.
The virtual event will be held on the Easy Virtual Fair platform, a bilingual, fully mobile solution that can be accessed on computers, tablets and smartphones. Some 40 employers and training centres will be able to interact live via chat or videoconferencing with students, recent graduates and candidates seeking new challenges. Visitors will gain from access to activities presenting the job and career prospects, and exhibitors will from information sessions on the services and programs offered to businesses by Emploi-Québec and the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration.
