Media Advisory - Ministers Pascale St-Onge, Pablo Rodriguez, Mathieu Lacombe and Martine Biron will speak during an activity presented by the Coalition for the Diversity of Cultural Expressions Français
Canada and the Government of Quebec are co-organizing the inaugural meeting of the UNESCO Group of Experts on the diversity of cultural expressions in the digital environment from May 28 to 30. The Coalition for the Diversity of Cultural Expressions is using this forum as an opportunity to bring together professionals from the Canadian cultural sector ahead of this international meeting.
QUÉBEC CITY, May 24, 2024 /CNW/ - Ernesto Ottone R., Assistant Director-General for Culture of UNESCO; Pascale St-Onge, Minister of Canadian Heritage; Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Transport of Canada and Quebec Lieutenant; Mathieu Lacombe, Quebec Minister of Culture and Communications, Minister responsible for Youth and Minister responsible for the Outaouais region; and Martine Biron, Quebec Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie and Minister responsible for the Status of Women; will speak during a day of conferences presented by the Coalition for the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (CDCE), with the collaboration of the International Federation of Coalitions for Cultural Diversity.
This event will take place on May 27, 2024, under the theme Promoting our cultures in the digital age – Conversations among cultural workers from here and abroad.
Ministers will be available to meet the media following official remarks of the opening ceremony. Media are invited to cover the conference day.
The co-presidents of the CDCE, Hélène Messier and Bill Skolnik, will be available for interviews.
