Media Advisory: More local food for Toronto

With support from the Greenbelt Fund, and funding from the Ontario government, grants are being awarded to 100km Foods Inc., Aramark Canada, George Brown College, Local Food Plus, Sustain Ontario, and the Hospital for Sick Children. All six projects will increase access to fresh, healthy, local food for Ontarians. Attending these announcements will be: Glen Murray, MPP Toronto-Centre, Burkhard Mausberg, CEO, Greenbelt Fund, and representatives from each of the projects. |
These grants are part of the Greenbelt Fund's Regional Food Grant Program, which supports farmers and local food leaders all with the common goal to increase the amount of local food consumed in Ontario. |
