Media Advisory - More than 20,000 Torontonians expected at historic 50th annual UJA Walk with Israel on May 20th
TORONTO, May 17, 2019 /CNW/ - UJA's Walk with Israel is celebrating its historic 50th anniversary this Monday, May 20th. The Walk will wind through the heart of the Jewish community along Bathurst Street in North York, where more than 20,000 people, including elected officials from across the political spectrum and every level of government, are expected to take part in the world's largest single-day Israel solidarity walk.
For the first-time ever, the Walk will be followed by the inaugural Bathurst Street Fest, which will see Bathurst Street closed from Wilson to York Downs for a one-kilometre long celebration of Jewish life, music, culture, food and arts.
The UJA Walk with Israel and the Bathurst Street Fest are both open to the entire GTA community.
