Media Advisory - Natural gas workers to rally at legislature
WINNIPEG, MB, July 14, 2022 /CNW/ - Unifor Local 681 and other Unifor members from across the region will rally at the legislature on Day #30 of the ongoing natural gas workers' strike.
"Premier Heather Stefanson doesn't get it: front line gas workers deserve fairness," said Gavin McGarrigle, Unifor Western Regional Director. "The government could end the strike today with a new collective agreement with the same wage increases already signed off for other Crown workers."

Local 681 members will walk off the job at 6:30 a.m. on July 15 until 7:30 a.m. on July 16.
Picketing will start at the legislative building at 10 a.m. and conclude at 360 Portage Avenue at 2 p.m. on July 15.
Unifor Local 681 represents more than 330 natural gas workers and meter readers at Manitoba Hydro. 230 gas workers have been without a collective agreement since December 2020.
