An opportunity to highlight the maple industry's contribution to Quebec's economy
QUÉBEC, Feb. 18, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - In the presence of representatives of Producteurs et productrices acéricoles du Québec (PPAQ), the member for Beauce-Sud (district that includes Saint-Robert-Bellarmin, the village with the highest number of taps in Quebec) and Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier (youth), Samuel Poulin, will tap a maple tree to officially launch the 2019 maple syrup season. This symbolic gesture will actually be repeated 48 million times in January and February by producers getting ready to start making Quebec maple syrup.
