MEDIA ADVISORY - Ontario Public Service workers rally for fair wages now!

TORONTO, Sept. 23, 2023 /CNW/ - We're in a cost-of-living crisis and 30,000 Ontario Public Service (OPS) workers haven't had a real raise in nearly 10 years. The Ford government is determined to gut Ontario's public services – creating a massive shortage that has caused a crisis in the public services all Ontarians depend on.

On Saturday, September 23, the OPS Unified Bargaining Team is heading back to the table to fight for a real wage increase that reflects the skyrocketing cost-of-living and catches up after years of stagnate wages. But at the last meeting, the Ford government didn't even bring a deal to the table. Their blatant disrespect for workers can only be reconciled with wage increases.

OPS Unified members will rally outside the wage re-opener talks as a show of support for their demands and to send a clear message to the Ford government: fair wages now!
