Media Advisory: Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance Available for Comment
on Provincial Budget
TORONTO, March 24 /CNW/ - Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA) President Dan Moulton will be available for comment at Queen's Park immediately after the tabling of the provincial budget.
As advocates for an affordable, accessible, accountable and high quality post-secondary education system in Ontario, OUSA recommended the following during pre-budget consultations:
1. Enhance student financial assistance to ensure students have the financial resources to access post-secondary education 2. Increase university operating funding to cover growth in enrollment, cost inflation, and to improve the quality of the learning experience 3. Cap tuition fee increases at no more than the rate of inflation and demonstrate progress toward a fair cost-sharing model
