Examples of reprisals by the employer include 69 days of suspension against one member since they became active in the union four years ago. Before becoming active in the union, this member had no discipline on file.
At the information rally, OPSEU/SEFPO Local 467 will make it clear to their members that they have a right to be active in the union without discrimination or harassment from the employer. They will also send a message to the employer that OPSEU/SEFPO members fully stand behind the Local Executive Committee against suspensions under false allegations.
