TORONTO, June 21, 2012 /CNW/ - The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) and the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) will host a joint conference on The Canadian Equity Market: Evolution, Competition and the Future, on June 26, 2012 at the Design Exchange in Toronto.
OSC Chair and CEO Howard I. Wetston, Q.C., and IIROC President and CEO Susan Wolburgh Jenah will lead an informative, thought-provoking and interactive day of discussions with global industry experts and regulators on topics related to the evolution and future of Canada's equity markets.
Highlights include:
- An OSC staff presentation on the evolving role of the stock exchange.
- An update on IIROC's study into the size and impact of high frequency trading in Canadian markets.
