LONGUEUIL, QC, Oct. 10, 2023 /CNW/ - On October 11, 2023, NASA will hold a news conference at Johnson Space Center in Houston to reveal material collected from asteroid Bennu as part of the OSIRIS-REx mission.
Thanks to the Canadian Space Agency's (CSA's) contribution of the OSIRIS-REx Laser Altimeter (OLA), Canada will receive a portion of the sample, making Canada the fifth country in the world to receive and curate a sample collected in space. This material will be studied by generations of Canadian and international scientists. The curation facility will be built at CSA headquarters in Longueuil, Quebec.
CSA experts will be available for interviews. Please contact the CSA's Media Relations Office for all media requests (information below).
