Media advisory - Parliamentary Secretary Fragiskatos to announce support for community organizations that help vulnerable populations get important benefits and credits

HALIFAX, NS, May 24, 2023 /CNW/ - Peter Fragiskatos, Member of Parliament for London North Centre and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Revenue, will announce additional financial support for community organizations that host free tax clinics. This new funding will allow these grassroot organizations to focus on putting more money back into the pockets of vulnerable Nova Scotians and Canadians by helping them access the credits and benefits they are entitled to.

The Parliamentary Secretary will hold a media availability and will be joined by Darren Fisher, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Seniors and Member of Parliament for Dartmouth—Cole Harbour, Lena Metlege Diab, Member of Parliament for Halifax West and volunteers from free tax clinics in the region.
