Media Advisory: Photo Opportunity for National Volunteer Week in Mississauga
Mississauga-based international humanitarian organization honours volunteers from local business as top contributor
MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 16, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - In conjunction with the start of National Volunteer Week, a volunteer team of 12 employees from Mississauga based pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmtihKline Inc. - including President & CEO, Paul Lucas and Grant Perry, VP, Public Affairs and Reimbursement - will be packing mobile medical packs with primary care medicines and supplies for Canadian doctors going on medical missions in the developing world. Event will take place at the medical aid distribution centre of Health Partners International of Canada (www.hpicanada.ca). Volunteers will be joined by HPIC President Glen Shepherd. HPIC is recognizing GSK as the top corporate contributor to their volunteer program - GSK employees donated more than 365 hours to HPIC in 2011.
