TORONTO, Aug. 15, 2016 /CNW/ - Ten Toronto artists have partnered with Canadian furniture retailer Urban Barn to create vibrant, original art on downtown Toronto traffic signal boxes. This is part of a larger city initiative, Outside the Box, which aims to combat graffiti and vandalism by improving the visual appearance of Toronto's urban landscape.
Following a successful first round of art installations in June of this year, the second instalment of artwork will take place beginning Monday, August 15, 2016, and will feature new, original artwork by an additional group of talented local artists.
Canvas versions of the artists' creations will also be featured in downtown Urban Barn locations in the coming weeks, with all ten pieces of art available available at an exclusive Urban Barn auction in September.
