Media Advisory: Press conference today to brief journalists covering the United Nations Climate Summit in New York
TORONTO, Sept. 18, 2014 /CNW/ - In advance of the U.N. Climate Summit, major environmental groups are holding a telephone press conference to help journalists plan their coverage of the summit.
Hosted by Environmental Defence, Natural Resources Defense Council, 350.org, and the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, the press conference will provide logistical information about the summit, the People's Climate March and other summit-related events. It will also provide context for the summit, including how Canada and the United States compare on climate action.
On Sunday, over 100,000 people are expected to join the People's Climate March – the largest demonstration for climate action in history.
