Media Advisory - Privacy protection authorities to release their findings following investigation into Clearview AI Français
GATINEAU, QC, Feb. 2, 2021 /CNW/ - The results of a joint investigation into Clearview AI's use of facial recognition technology will be released tomorrow, Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
The investigation was initiated in the wake of media reports raising concerns about whether the company was collecting and using personal information without consent. Media reports stated that Clearview AI was using its technology to collect images and make facial recognition available to law enforcement for the purposes of identifying individuals.
A teleconference for journalists will be held to discuss the findings, with participation by:
