Media advisory - Samuel De Champlain Bridge: Special Illumination for the National Day of Mourning Français
MONTREAL, April 28, 2022 /CNW/ - The Samuel De Champlain Bridge will light up in purple, from sunset to 10 p.m. this evening, to recognize the National Day of Mourning.
This special illumination honours Canadian workers who have lost their lives or suffered mental or physical harm because of accidents, hazards or harassment in the workplace. The Government of Canada will continue to ensure federally-regulated workplaces are healthy, safe and respectful spaces.
Note: After 10 p.m., the architectural lighting will return to the blue-green illumination that reduces the risk of disorientation for birds during their migratory period.
