TORONTO, Sept. 11, 2023 /CNW/ - On Tuesday September 12, Canada's largest food rescue organization will take over Nathan Phillips Square for its annual charitable Truck Pull event. Starting at 10:30 a.m., this event will include many activations for the public centred around food waste awareness and food rescue, including a best before date taste test challenge, a fresh produce market, temporary hand-drawn tattoos, games and much more. Throughout the day, teams of ten people will be going head-to-head and competing to pull 15,000 lb. Second Harvest transport trucks across Nathan Phillips Square in the fastest time in a show of teamwork, determination and philanthropy.

Why: This event expects to raise enough money to support the rescue and redistribution of 150,000 healthy meals.
