Media Advisory - Street Closures in Ottawa and Gatineau during Winterlude

Canadian Heritage would like to inform the public of the street closures in effect in Ottawa and Gatineau during the 41st edition of Winterlude, which is taking place from February 1 to 18, 2019. 

GATINEAU, QC, Jan. 25, 2019 /CNW/ - Canadian Heritage would like to inform the public of the street closures in effect in Ottawa and Gatineau during the 41st edition of Winterlude, which is taking place from February 1 to 18, 2019. 

Only vehicles displaying a circulation access pass, residents with proof of residence and emergency vehicles will be granted access to closed streets.

Please note that all details are subject to change. All times are local.

The details are as follows:

Ottawa

York Street, north of the parking area, between ByWard Market Square and Sussex Drive, will be closed to traffic at the following times:

• Friday, February 1, 8, and 15, from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
• Saturday, February 2, 9 and 16, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Sunday, February 3, 10 and 17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Monday, February 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

York Street, between William and Dalhousie streets, will be closed to traffic at the following times:

• Friday, February 1 and 15, from 6 p.m. to 11p.m.
• Saturday, February 2, from 6 p.m. to 11 a.m.
• Saturday, February 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

O'Connor Street, between Wellington and Queen streets, will be closed to traffic at the following times:

• Friday, February 8, from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Saturday, February 9, from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The westbound lanes of the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway will be closed to traffic at the following time:

• Sunday, February 17 from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Vimy Place between Booth and Wellington streets will be closed to traffic at the following time:

• Sunday, February 17 from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Gatineau

Laurier Street, from St-Étienne to Verdun Street, will be closed to traffic at the following times:

• Thursday, February 7 and 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Friday, February 1, 8, and 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Laurier Street, from Boulevard des Allumetières to Verdun, and St-Etienne street, between Notre-Dame-de-l'Île and Laurier streets, will be closed to traffic at the following times:

• Monday, February 18, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
