CORNWALL, ON, May 28, 2018 /CNW/ - Municipal workers and their supporters will rally outside Cornwall City Hall on Monday evening, in advance of City Council meeting. The majority of these workers, who are represented by Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Locals 234, 3251, 3251-01, and 5734, have been on strike since May 17th. Inside workers have been on strike since May 23rd.
The workers have been without a contract since 2015 (in the case of the library) and 2016 (in the case of all others).
