Pop-Up educates consumers on the evolution of food banks in Canada as part of Subway® Canada's World Sandwich Day 2 million meal donation drive
TORONTO, Oct. 29, 2018 /CNW/ - To showcase the evolution of food banks and dispel common perceptions surrounding food bank offerings, Subway® Canada, Daily Bread Food Bank, and Food Banks Canada have created an interactive immersive experience in Toronto. The pop-up will be open to the public November 2 and 3 and is part of Subway® Canada's World Sandwich Day efforts in support of Food Banks Canada.
To showcase the evolution of food banks and dispel common perceptions surrounding food bank offerings, guests will be able to walk the aisles and discover some of the wholesome fresh offerings provided by many foodbanks. Participants will also learn more about Subway® Canada's 2-week donation drive in which for every meal (sandwich, drink and side) purchased, the restaurant chain will donate a meal to Food Banks Canada. It is Subway® Canada's goal to donate 2 million meals as part of the campaign.

WHAT: An interactive experience that will raise awareness and debunk beliefs that only non-perishable goods are offered at food banks today while showcasing examples of some of the wholesome, fresh offerings that is more realistic of a typical food bank today.
