Media advisory - Sunday March 8: Toronto's annual International Women's Day rally and march

TORONTO, March 6, 2020 /CNW/ - With a theme of "The World is on Fire - We are Rising" in solidarity with Indigenous communities and in support of the campaign to protect public education in Ontario, the annual International Women's Day rally and march recognizes the movements of women worldwide to confront issues of Indigenous rights, climate justice and an end to violence and war.

Organized by a coalition of community groups, students, and labour and sponsored by Women Working with Immigrant Women, the event brings together thousands of women and men to march for equality and justice.

Indoor Rally:	11:00 a.m
Location:	OISE Auditorium, 252 Bloor St. West, Toronto

March to begin at 1:00 p.m. beginning from OISE Auditorium.

Route:

East on Bloor to Yonge Street, south on Yonge to Gould Street
