Media Advisory: Sunday's CN Tower climb for WWF-Canada
TORONTO, April 8, 2017 /CNW/ - WWF-Canada's CN Tower Climb for Nature continues Sunday, with thousands more people climbing the 1,776 steps of Canada's tallest structure to help raise more than $1 million for wildlife conservation. This year is WWF-Canada's 27th and best-attended climb yet, with more than 8,000 people registered.

- David Miller, former Toronto mayor and WWF-Canada president and CEO
- USS, Canadian indie rock duo Ashley Parsons and Jason "Human Kebab" Parsons
- Shaun Stephens-Whale, one of the world's top Tower runners
- Tyler Kruschenske, world championship obstacle course racer and WWF's fastest returning climber
- Humber College firefighting students
- Corporate teams from Loblaw, Brookfield GIS, Bentall Kennedy, and SunLife Financial, including James Temple, PwC Canada chief corporate responsibility officer
- +8,000 other climbers
When: Sunday, April 9 – Public and Ultimate Climb Challenge:
- 5:30 a.m.: Media desk opens at the base of CN Tower
- 7 – 7:30 a.m.: Elite Climb Challenge
- Competitive climbers vie for the fastest time up the CN Tower in 15 minutes or less
- 7:45 a.m.: David Miller announces fastest male and female climbers at MTCC, North Building, Hall C, DJ Booth
- 7:30 – 10 a.m.: Public climbers and team climbers start up the Tower
- 8:30 a.m.: Toronto band USS lead team of fans up the CN Tower
- Available for interviews in the USS lounge at MTCC, North Building Hall C
- 10 a.m.: Last climber enters the Tower
- 11 a.m.: Last of the climbers should have cleared the Tower by now
Please note that all media will be required to sign security waiver forms in order to ascend the CN Tower by elevator. Forms will be available at the media desk in the base of the Tower.
