OTTAWA, Sept. 4, 2018 /CNW/ - To mark the 10th anniversary of her Office, the Taxpayers' Ombudsman, Sherra Profit, is launching a series of taxpayer town halls.
The first town hall will be held in Ottawa where the Ombudsman will provide information on taxpayers' rights and talk with taxpayers about Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) service issues.
The event will take place on:
Tuesday, September 11, 2018
6:00 p.m. –7:00 p.m. (French language session)
7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (English language session)

Free parking is available
Doors open 15 minutes before session start time.
Operating at arm's length from the CRA, the Office of the Taxpayers' Ombudsman works to enhance the CRA's accountability in its service to, and treatment of, taxpayers and benefit recipients through independent and objective examinations of service-related issues.
There will be media availability after questions from the public.
