OTTAWA, ON and GATINEAU, QC, May 10, 2023 /CNW/ - The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) will launch its first consultations to modernize the broadcasting system and ensure that online streaming services make meaningful contributions to Canadian and Indigenous content on May 12, 2023 at 11 a.m.
The CRTC is inviting the media to participate in a virtual technical briefing prior to the release of its consultations. This session, which is not for attribution, will provide an opportunity to learn about the consultations and to ask questions of CRTC experts.
The session will begin at 10 a.m. on May 12, 2023, and will last one hour. The embargo will be lifted at 11 a.m.
