VANCOUVER, Oct. 5, 2015 /CNW/ - Aha!, the new Vancouver-based interactive think tank, will release its second report Political Poker: Ranking Parties Since 1981 on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 am EST.
The report examines eleven fiscal and economic outcomes of 80 provincial governments over three decades. The 25 political parties that governed over that period are classified as conservative, liberal, and social democrat (coloured blue, red and orange) according to their political leanings, and then ranked from best to worst.
The report also pits three Dream Teams against each other, comparing the track records of the best five premiers from each political group.
Finally, the report discusses how the political party results can be used by voters to better understand federal election campaign promises.
The report, co-authored by economist Dr. Mark Mullins and policy analyst Dr. Mark Milke, is the second in a series of three and will be available with sharable graphics for social media at aha.world.
