Media Advisory: TOMORROW, OCT. 24th - Thousands of Canadians mobilize for
action on global warming
What: Tomorrow, Saturday October 24, tens of thousands of Canadians will hold over 250 events across Canada, demanding that our Government take strong action on climate change. Over 4000 events are to be held globally for the International Day of Action, and Canada is leading the way, closing in quickly on the United States for number of events planned. Over 5000 Canadians will gather on Parliament Hill for Climate Day: Fill the Hill to send our Government a message. Environment Minister Prentice says a deal is not possible, but thousands of Canadians know he is wrong. We demand an ambitious and fair deal at the United Nations Climate Summit in Copenhagen in December.
