TORONTO, May 26, 2022 /CNW/ - For the first time since the pandemic began, the GTAA will be holding a full scale emergency exercise at Toronto Pearson International Airport. This exercise is a requirement by Transport Canada and is an important way to test the airport's emergency response.
This year's scenario will involve a protest, with approximately 300 members of the airport community and volunteers playing the role of protestors. Other responders participating in the event include Peel Regional Police and Transport Canada.
Media are invited to attend the exercise and a spokesperson will be made available on-site. Advanced registration is required.
