Media Advisory: Two of Ontario's top scientists to join Paul Kennedy, host of
CBC Radio's Ideas, for an exciting discussion about medical research
TORONTO, Nov. 26 /CNW/ - When was the last time you heard two leading medical researchers discuss their work in a casual, accessible and interesting way?
On November 30, MaRS will welcome Dr. Janet Rossant and Dr. Jeff Wrana to Science at the Summit, a lunchtime discussion of what medical research is teaching us. The discussion will be moderated by Paul Kennedy, host of CBC Radio's Ideas.
Dr. Rossant and Dr. Wrana are winners of the 2010 Premier's Summit Award in Medical Research, one of Canada's richest prizes in medical research. Dr. Rossant is a world leader in developmental biology who has transformed the way we understand stem cell origins and human biology. Dr. Wrana has played an instrumental role in advancing scientist's understanding of tumour growth suppression and given scientists around the world new ways to think about cancer. At Science at the Summit, they'll be talking about their research, its impact and the future of medical research.
