MONCTON, NB, Sept. 21, 2018 /CNW/ - Unifor will be watching the election results closely on Monday Sept 24th and the union's most senior elected officer in Atlantic Canada will be available for post-election reaction and analysis.
"This is an important election for all working people in New Brunswick. We have made some good progress for workers recently and there were a number of important commitments made during this election that will benefit workers and their families," said Lana Payne, Atlantic Regional Director.

Payne is also a member of N.B.'s joint government – labour steering committee that supported stronger health and safety and labour laws and paid protected leave for victims of domestic violence.
"The next government must be one that invests in working people, to grow an economy with good jobs and shared progress for all," said Payne.
Payne will be available in downtown Moncton on election night.

The union advocates for all working people and their rights, fights for equality and social justice in Canada and abroad, and strives to create progressive change for a better future.
