NIAGARA FALLS, ON, Sept. 16, 2024 /CNW/ - Media are invited to attend the grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony for the University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF). The milestone event celebrates the official launch of this new institution in downtown Niagara Falls as it prepares to welcome more than 1,000 students into all five of its programs for the Fall Term which will commence on Oct. 1, 2024.
In April, the university welcomed its first students into its Master of Management and Master of Data Analytics programs. The remaining three programs – Master of Arts in Digital Media and Global Communications, Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, and Honours Bachelor of Science – Biomedical Sciences – start with the Fall Term.
With a technology-centred approach that puts students first, the interdisciplinary programs at UNF are designed to address the ever-evolving needs of the global workforce, as well as business and industry in the region.
Bringing significant economic and employment benefits to the Niagara region, UNF is dedicated to supporting Niagara Falls' downtown revitalization efforts. Situated in the Hatch Building, its current Queen Street campus serves as a hub for a vibrant community of students and more than 100 full-time university employees, including faculty and staff. Future plans include a purpose-built campus with student accommodations in the downtown Niagara Falls core.
