QUÉBEC CITY, Dec. 2, 2024 /CNW/ - The Lieutenant Governor of Quebec is pleased to announce a historic milestone for the institution: the official unveiling of a new feminized plaque, which will henceforth bear the inscription: "Cabinet de la Lieutenante-gouverneure."
This gesture, which is far more than symbolic, is a concrete action. It celebrates not only our rich French language but also aligns fully with the Québec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.
This change reflects the values championed by the Lieutenant Governor, the Honorable Manon Jeannotte: respect, reconciliation, and the environment. This initiative recognizes the contributions of women in leadership roles and highlights their presence in our institutions. This modernization reflects a progressive society that emphasizes the recognition and respect of fundamental rights. It is also an opportunity to honor the women who paved the way and to inspire those who will follow.
